What is Wellness?
In the past few decades, we have become increasingly focused on the concept of wellness. Maybe it is the sense of empowerment we feel when we recognize that our choices can and do matter to our overall health that attracts us to this powerful concept.
Of course, our choices cannot prevent all illness, something people with PD know all too well. However, concscious and conscientous choices that promote health can make a tremendous difference in quality of life for many people with PD.
We all know there are benefits to eating healthy, being physically fit, and managing stress, but for people with Parkinson's these aspects of wellness are often considered an integral part of the overall treatment plan.
